The heavily flooded streets in Houston can only be voyaged with small boats following the days of continuous rain as Hurricane Harvey plummeted through Texas’ Gulf Coast. Thousands of people were left trapped within their homes as the floodwaters rose to unprecedented heights. Although the hurricane was forecast, the scale of the rains and winds could not have been predicted leaving the city in complete devastation. Search and rescue efforts started as soon as they could begin yet deaths have been reported during the worst days of the storm. The city will be left with months of recovery considering the destructive might of the hurricane.
